Katayoun Shahrokhi, MIA

President

Katayoun Shahrokhi is an international development professional with specialized experience in the creation and management of operational development and corporate social responsibility programs in Latin American and Brazil. Currently, Katayoun is the Senior Bid & Proposal Manager and Latin America Team Lead for the Public Sector division at Amazon Web Services. Before this role, Katayoun lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she launched a global cross-sector initiative and developed partnerships and programs between Fortune 500 companies and local nonprofit organizations in the areas of social development and organization operational capacity building.

Prior to her work in Brazil, Katayoun worked in Washington, DC advancing government relations and policy initiatives between the private sector and the U.S. and Brazilian governments, and before that she managed proposals and contracts for global development programs in over 70 countries. Katayoun received her Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and her Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University, and she speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and French.

The Center for Research & International Development (CenRID)  is a global nonprofit organization based in New York, NY that focuses on development research and project implementation.
Our purpose is to implement evidence-based interventions and conduct high-quality research aimed at discovering new knowledge to improve the education and healthcare delivery and access for vulnerable populations.
